With the introduction of Artidoc Structure, the need of better versioning of Artidocs increases. With Artidoc 16.0, the versioning is indirectly done via artifact history, however the change of the Artidoc itself (add, remove section) is not.

What needs to be versioned ?

• Each change in FreeText, including images

• Each change in the the Document

  • New artifact

  • New version of Artifact (either from Artidoc or changes that comes from other sources). It's not limited to title/description. As we can display fields in artidoc, any change can lead to a document change.

  • Removal of artifact

  • New Free text

  • Modification of free text

  • Removal of free text

  • Change of heading level of Artifacts

  • Change of heading level of FreeText

• How do we handle the delete of an artifact ?
