refactor: Do not check validity of pattern when applying it

* Pattern is supposed to be valid when we retrieve it for the DB since a check is done when we change it. * If we change the rules about how valid a pattern can be (e.g we add STATUS as mandatory variable), then nobody will be able to upload files in their existing setup unless they change their config.
