story #8354 have visibility on git permissions changes
Summary
site administrator
have visibility on git permissions changes
I can ensure that project administrator or git administrators doesn't go against regulatory / compliance rules.

In site admin, I have a new screen where:

  • I can select any project based event (for instance git_permission_update)
  • define a list of users and/or emails (Mailing lists)
  • and save in the DB

(I can define several notification watchers, for different changes)

Then, in any project on the platform, as soon as a watched event occur

  • a mail is sent to the list defined
  • the mail contains the "value" of the history change
    • in case of git it will be the snapshot of permission (see art #8425)

Please note that those emails are not truncated.

HI

I think the "have control on git permissions changes" should be changed to "have visibility on git permissions changes".

Thanks
Denis

- can configured emails be part of a mailing list ? This would ease the auditability with ML archive in case of mailman activated .
