Project privacy set to public. By default, its content is available to everyone (authenticated or not). Please note that more restrictive permissions might exist on some items.

Project owner
Change Project Privacy
Project owner and site admins can change the visibility of the project
Other project admins is no more in charge of this action, they just can see it from the plugin owner interface.

Functional overview

As project owner or site admin , i can change the project visibility (public/private/incl.restricted...)  

when i click the submit button the  privacy update will be propagated to db, the next certification date will be recalculated accroding to the new privacy, and an email will be send to all (project members+project owner) 

Permissions

 

If the plugin project ownership is enabled, the project visibility settings configured at site admin level will be ignored

In this case site admins and project owner can change the visibility from project ownership interface

and the privacy will be read only in the old access interface

About technical side of the project privacy story :

  • Update GUI :
  1.    For the project ownership inetrface : read only for all  project administrator + update permission for owner+siteadmins
  2.     Access section in project administration interface :  read only for all 
  • Privacy Update propagated to db
  • Fire change privacy email
  • Adjust the next_certification_deadline values according to the new privacy
  • Add project history entry
  • Update the email change privacy layout
