    Re-opening, I forgot to disable the result cache when bumping the unit tests to PHPUnit 8 and executing the test suite from within the provided Docker containers.

    The mockery/mockery trait helper for PHPUnit is not yet compatible, we are not going to be able to update to PHPUnit 8 yet.


    The changes done in gerrit #13900 also works with PHPUnit 7 so it can be seen as a preparatory work.
