    Error on preview during chart creation
    As a project leader, I want to add a new chart on a tracker:

    1. Click on a tracker
    2. Click on the '+' button to add a new Chart
    3. Give a name to the chart
    4. Submit
    5. Add a chart with the type 'Bar' or 'Pie'
    -> The following error is displayed as a preview: "An error occurred while loading the chart: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data"

    After submission, the graph is correctly displayed.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the report, some changes have been made in request #20940. You now get a message telling you to update your chart settings until you select a field:

    An error occurred while loading the chart: Unable to find the needed field to build the chart "Untitled cumulative_flow". Please edit the chart and adjust settings.

    It's not great but it's still far better than just having a technical error. The way the graphs are created would benefit from a complete revamp but for now I'm going with "good enough 🤷" and I'm going to close the request.
