    Vite: 6.x to 8.x

    Vite 8.x comes with really nice performance improvements giving an incentive to upgrade to it. This is not going to be straightforward process for us as we will need to adjust to ESM only build of Vite 7.x and upgrade other various dev tools.

    The global upgrade process is likely going to something like this: Vite 6.x -> Multiple painful intermediate steps -> Vite 7.x -> Vite Rolldown 7.x -> Vite 8.x
