    The Copy ID menu option should return the base type with # for SCM commit
    It would be good if the Eclipse Mylyn plugin return the ID is a format that can be used in the SCM submit comment so that the SCM cross reference is created. At the moment it generates project: Tasks: XXX, if it produced task #XXX then it could act as a commit message with change.

    I'm not sure it's that simple. I'm afraid the format of the text expected may differ from one SCM to another.
    Which tool exactly use the format "task #XXX" that you mention?

    The task ID is used in several places in mylyn's UI so it must not be modified lightly.
