story #10360 see folders on dashboard in a widget
Summary
Empty
see folders on dashboard in a widget

I don't have to dig into trackers to find where I can interact with them

A new Widget (see screenshot for content)

  • The list of columns displayed on the right are
    • date created
    • date modified
    • modified by
    • status
    • artifact id
    • title
    • description
    • assigned to
  • On the left hand side, there is an "Explorer like" presentation of folders, they are clickable to walk through the folder hierarchy (this must be tested with up to 500 folders)
    • The query is done via ajax or rest call
    • be very careful about permissions (restricted users and see of stuff across projects)
  • On first display of the widget, there is an empty state on the right hand side that tell people to select at least one folder to see the content
  • Bonus if "comes for free" (esp. regarding permissions)
    • I can have the widget on my personal dashboard
      • Need to have a selector to choose which project I want to see
      • Be careful with project selector to not leak sensitive information
    • I can have several time the widget on a given dashboard so I can see data from various projects on one central dashboard
