Just side note about Patrick comment.

While gerrit Group Backend infrastructure and ITS plugin are definitively the way to go for a tighter and better integration between Gerrit and Tuleap, we should stay focused on current implementation.
The main goal of this first implementation is have something delivered as early as possible and it will allow to validate a couple of hypothesis (replication, setup, usage and so on).

Group Backend is technological shift that requires prior spike to evaluate the technology and require a much larger amount of work. We will do it, but it's not the top priority right now.

Finally, the design choice we made are future compatible. The groups we create today will not share the same namespaces than the groups that will be handled through GroupBackend so a smooth transition will be possible.

As discussed during EclipseCon with Manuel: group membership should be implemented using the Group Backend gerrit plugin. This means that Gerrit delegates to Tuleap the membership of the groups under Tuleap's control the same way as for LDAP groups.

This comment probably comes in too late for this particular story but should be used as inputs for a new PBI to be highly prioritized according to the Ericsson list.
