I can easily determine how effort still remains till it is completed.
1. Navigate to the Agile Dashboard
2. Open the current Sprint Cardwall. Look at a User Story which display a progress bar of how much effort is still remaining.

Note: The Progress Bar could be based on the Remaining Story points or the sum of the Remaining Effort of all children Tasks. For the Progress on the Epic it would be based on the sum of all its children User Stories based on whether story points or remaining hours from tasks.
