This is a very first step to have something usable without having to wait for more complete modal.

[Create new test] is a simple link to "new artifact view" (so with steps & all).

But, instead of redirecting to the tracker report view after creation of the artifact, it returns to the test plan view (return_to parameter).

  • When coming back on the Test Plan page, the backlog item in which the test was created is expanded
  • The viewport scrolls to show the creation button if needed

Permissions:

  • The [Create new test] button is not displayed if the user:

    • cannot update the artifact link field of the corresponding backlog item

    • cannot create a test def

Technically speaking

  • A ‘ttm’ paramter is added to identify the source Backlog Item
  • Once the test created, TTM (via Event) will update the source Backlog Item (based on param defined before)
