I can clean-up old issues or wrongly created elements

As site admin, 

  • I can configure the threshold for number of artifacts that can be deleted at once (by default 1)
  • This configuration is global to the platform and apply to all trackers

As tracker admin,

  • When site admin configured that more than 1 artifact can be deleted, I can enter several artifact ids separated by comma (field is enlarged)
  • I can only delete artifact that belongs to the tracker I'm IN.
  • I get a confirmation screen with a table that lists following fields (according to semantics)
    • ID
    • Title
    • Creation date (with time ago + actual date)
    • Last update date (with time ago + actual date)
    • Status (actual value)
  • When there are no semantics for title and status, entries are empty.
  • Then I can confirm the deletion
  • The deletion of artifacts is recorded in project history  with artifact id and date (so it might be found in a DB backend)

Yes deletion is permanent.

It might be possible to find data in backups but no automation is planned to re-import deleted data from a backup

The proposal is to display a table instead of the full artifact when more than one artifact is entered so it can display a long list.

I think you must display only a limited set of artifacts into the confirmation screen. Above 3 or 5 the scroll bar can be huge and it could be used with a lot of artifacts.
Please also enlarge the filed where ID are entered.
