    Cannot sort the Gantt renderer
    On the Gantt view from a tracker, the task are automaticaly sorted by ID. If I create a task with a start-end date which is before an existing task, the Gantt view do not display the tasks in the date/time order.

    It's a pity we can not choose the way the tasks are sorted (start date at least) and this could be the default order.

    I agree, the default order should be on start dates but perhaps it would be nice to choose between dates (start, due, end or created, modified) ?

    I think that your issue is that the default order is not appropriate, not that the user cannot customize the order. Do you agree?

    I propose to base the order on dates in a first step and see if the need to be able to sort by id (or something else) arise.

    I checked on a gantt your observation. Yes, It can be an useful option to sort Gantt by start date instead of by artifact ID. This may make Gantt charts more readable.
