    I could only reproduce by trying to submit the form used to create the branch / Merge request with an empty source reference (with a red border on the screenshot below). How did you get this error ?
    I had to edit the HTML to remove the "required" attribute. If this field is empty, I get the same error (which is the expected behaviour).
