Clearer distinction/differentiation for closed versus open children

As a user who manages artifacts with children
I want a quick way to distinguish between open and closed children
So that I can, at a glance, understand progress on the parent artifact
So that I can quickly understand which items are still remaining

In the child view for an artifact, a user currently has to read the words "Open" and "Closed" on each to know the status of those items. We would expect a quicker way to decipher which are open from closed. Ideas we have cloated are things like:

    • Bolding items that are open
    • Italicizing items that are closed
    • Adding color to open, gray to closed
    • Adding the ability to sort this list by the status, so all open items are on top, closed on bottom
    • Adding a "show/hide closed" toggle button to keep/remove closed items from the view
