    Auto organize Kanban by specific field

    As a: person organizing my work on a kanban
    I want: items to be organized by a specific field of my choosing
    So that: I don't have to manually evaluate every item on the kanban to determine the priority of each one and move them accordingly

    For example, if a kanban of tasks has a due date field, automatically having items with a due date that's coming up tomorrow be at the top of each column in the kanban, and later due dates toward the end of columns.

    Yes, I think there are a few options - one would be to disallow the ordering of cards, another would be to disable that context when a card is reordered (ie. if the sorting is merely a "view" and not actually re-prioritizing the cards, then it could take you out of that view). As a user, I need a way to sort my kanban so the highest priority thing is on top, without having to do that manually every time a card is added.

    By "auto organize", you mean sorting the columns ? Did I get you right ?

    If I understood correctly, what should happen if I try to reorder cards in this context ?
