story #5530 break bugs in tasks
Summary
cardwall user
break bugs in tasks
Huge bugs can be followed at a finer grain during sprint

All elements linked to a backlog element can be displayed on the cardwall (style in the same project for now).

No longer dependency on the hierarchy.

This imply changes on the cardwall configuration:

  • to make explicit the association between trackers to be displayed and cardwall (I need to select I want to see/manage Bugs, Test Case and stories on my cardwall) -
  • Combine the "Backlog tracker" select box and the carwall configuration (mock-ups to come)

/!\ warnings:

  • this will have an impact on "Filter by milestone in trackers" but we cannot foresee it right now. In worst case, some of the new elements might not be will filtered/selected (for instance we might not be able to see the tasks linked to a bug when we filter by sprint or release). This story might lead to another one to adapt the behaviour.
  • The workflow triggers (start a story when at least one of it's child is on going) is not taken into account in this story, should be a dedicated one if needed

On the Mock-up below, you can see the modifications on the planning / cardwall configuration:

  • We distiguish "Backlog item types" and "Child items" (names are not the best we found, any ideas welcomed)
  • "Backlog item types" correspond to the current multi select box that allow to select the kind of artifacts that goes into a milestone backlog
  • the "Child items" can be anything ("tasks", support requests, todo items, etc), as soon as they are linked (artifact link) to a "backlog item type" they will be displayed on the cardwall
