    Hi Martin,

Openfire is only used for instant messaging and is not used to manage emails of the tuleap platform. I guess it could be configured to send email but I never had to, so I don't know what kind of email it sends.

If you want your Tuleap server to send emails you should definitely look at your MTA (postfix or sendmail or ...) configuration.

    Hi Thomas,

Paulo an i tried to configure the email-settings in openfire like in the pic below.
Our target is to get tuleap and openfire working on sending emails (for tuleap-user-registrations, etc.).
If we use the settings of a gmail-account openfire is able to send test-emails.
If we use the settings of a Office365-account openfire is not able to send test-emails.

Maybe we are in the complete wrong settings on openfire?
Should we better configure the /etc/postfix/sasl_passwd and /etc/postfix/main.cf?

    Thanks an best regards,
    Martin

    Hi,

Openfire is the instant messaging tool and AFAIK can not be connected to an SMTP server. The MTA is usually postfix. Could you give us more information on what you did exactly?

    Thomas.
