    Initial sign-in timezone selection
When signing in for the first time, you are asked to select a timezone. The timezone selection apparently doesn't apply anywhere. Please click your username in the upper-right corner of your screen and change your timezone from "GMT"

I am using LDAP auth with Active Directory. When a user signs in the for first time they are presented a screen to select their time zone and choose some other preferences. After choosing your time zone on this page it doesn't seem to get saved anywhere. You can set your tz then go to your home page then to your account settings and GMT will still be set as your timezone. Once you change the tz in your account setting page, the changes apply properly.

The timezone should apply (for instance it does in trackers) where did you identify that TZ is not properly used ?
