The feature is introduce behind a feature flag and the definition of what is an Aggregator Project and what is a Contributor Project is defined in database directly. Backlog items trackers from Contributor projects must be added by hand at initial setup.

Multi project backlog is a new plugin only available in Tuleap Enterprise Edition

Management of plannings on Aggregator project

The Contributor Project defines what can be planned in Aggregator Project releases. It's not possible to change that at Aggregator level.

When the Contributor Project planning are changed (which backlog item can be planned, etc) the configuration is automatically propagated (copied) into the corresponding Aggregator projects (it's not resolved dynamically at read time). The milestone tracker in top planning of the Contributor projects cannot be updated.

Once a project is defined as Contributor to another project, the milestone tracker defined in Top Planning can no longer change.

  • Otherwise we would have to deal with re-creation of all mirrored milestone & co

The existing configuration pane of Plannings in Agile Dashboard for Aggregator Projects is no longer accessible. The information of Contributor projects & trackers is displayed (read only) in a new interface provided by the new plugin.

Removing the Acceptance criteria about showing the Milestones tracker on the new read-only planning view. As discussed with Product Owner, we don't need this information now. It can be added later if needed.
